& the team
We work with individuals across the wide spectrum of mental health -from counselling & therapy to optimal performance psychology- aiming to achieve their full potential and maximize wellbeing.
Our approach is holistic and comprehensive, combining performance psychology with science and applied technology, integrating neuroscience (neurofeedback and biofeedback), positive psychology, cognitive behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches (ACT, REBT, CBT).
What we do
internal family system
The internal family systems model (ifs) is a short-term integrative psychotherapy.
In ifs we look at the mind as a conglomerate of different sub-personalities, each with their own roles and qualities.
We also connect with a separate entity: a person's core or true self (our self-energy).
Like members of a family, a person's inner parts can take on extreme roles. Yet, every part has a positive intent, even if its actions are counterproductive or dysfunctional.
There is no need to fight with, coerce, or eliminate parts;
In ifs we find internal connection and harmony to bring the mind back into balance.
Somatic Experiencing is a short-term naturalistic psychotherapeutic approach
In se, we look at animals in the wild and their innate ability to regulate and neutralize the high levels of arousal associated with stress for survival.
With see, we find ways to normalize the symptoms of trauma and to find cycles of activation and deactivation that help us feel well-regulated and to heal.
mindfulness based psychotherapy
Mindfulness is a contemplative approach that comes from Buddhist meditation practices.
With mindfulness, we become truly aware of the present moment, better able to tell the difference between what we can change and cannot change, and then to focus our attention on the things we can change.
It is a productive methodology o fate way to create more space between stimulus and response. Between our inbreathe and our outbreath.
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (emdr) is a short-term psychotherapy treatment.
We alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories and we become able to attend to emotionally disturbing material in brief doses while focusing on an external stimulus (the therapist moving their hand). The better way to describe it is to compare it to hypnosis. The result is in complete information processing, new learning, elimination of emotional distress, and development of cognitive insights. Yay!
Healing is the lifelong journey towards a you that is calm, radiant and unstoppable.
